BURKE COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting on Interstate 40 in Burke County Tuesday morning, law enforcement sources told Channel 9.
Reporter Dave Faherty was at the scene where several state highway patrol vehicles and a helicopter could be seen on the interstate and on-ramp.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation said the interstate is blocked at Exit 118 in Hildebran. The road is expected to reopen by 10 a.m.
